DMX started rapping as early as the mid 1990s. In May 1998, the rapper released his debut album, It's Dark and HOT. Over the years he released several other albums including ... and then there Was X and the Great Depression Year of the Dog... And Again the Redemption of the Beast Grand Champ and Flesh of My Flesh Blood of My Blood. In 2001, his album was titled... And There was X earned him the Grammy nomination in the category Best Rap Album. In addition to his musical activities, he has also been featured in films like Lords of the Street Belly Top Five Exit Wounds Will Never Die Alone The Bleeding Romeo Has to Die Backstage Beyond the Law Lockjaw Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
