Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his part in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. The actor discovered his fascination for acting during his time in the college classroom and then studied acting at The University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he's appeared in films and television shows however, it's his work in small screen productions that earned him a lot of attention. So it's no surprise the actor has an aptitude for portraying characters with both side of good and evil. Also, he knows how to draw attention. The first show he worked on was a serial on television, but later he played the part of an NYPD detective. His small-screen performances are rewarded with multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. The most appealing feature of his face is said to be his blue eyes, which have been considered to be his signature and has helped in the portrayal of rough characters that have charisma. He was listed in People magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
