Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor who is well known for his character on the television show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Since his time in university Christopher Meloni has always been interested in the acting world. He went to study acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active in both films and television, it is his characters in the smaller screen which gave him popularity and much fan following. His ability to portray characters in both legal and non-legal settings is a draw for the public. His first television production, he played the role of a serial killer. Later he portrayed the role of an NYPD investigator. In recognition of his performance in the small screen, he's won many times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards. The piercingly blue eyes of his face are considered to be the most appealing aspect of his appearance. These have been used to depict rough characters and make them more appealing. People's magazine's 2006 list of Sexiest Men Alive included him.
